YStay hosts content published by its hosts and its guests. If you believe one of them is illegal, you can report it to us from this page, without signing in.

This form is the channel provided by our terms (Article 7.9 for hosts, Article 14.2 for guests) and by Articles 16 and 17 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services (the DSA).

What you can report

Content published on YStay that you believe to be illegal — illegal content, fraud, intellectual property infringement, privacy infringement, incitement to hatred or violence, an offence against the protection of minors, a misleading listing, or any other reason.

What we do with your report

If you leave us an email address, we acknowledge receipt of your report.

It is then reviewed by a person on our team — never by an automated process alone.

Depending on the review, we remove the content (host site or guidebook), suspend the account concerned, or dismiss the report. If you left us an email address, you are told the decision.

What the host concerned receives

If we remove their content or suspend their account, the host receives a statement of reasons: the facts relied on and the legal or contractual basis for the decision.

They never receive your identity. The statement of reasons only indicates that the decision follows a report.

If the host disputes the decision

The host has six months from the decision to dispute it with us at [TO BE COMPLETED: content reporting address]. If they are acting as a consumer, they may also refer the matter to the competent mediator.

Your data

Your identity if you provided it, and the description of your report, are erased one year after it is closed. The content type, the reason, the decision and its dates — including the address of the content concerned — are kept beyond that, for statistical purposes. Details are set out in our privacy policy.
