Delete my account

Last updated:

You can request the deletion of your YStay account at any time, from the service or from this page if you no longer have access to it.

The request is reviewed by our team before it is carried out. It is never executed automatically: we first make sure it comes from the account holder.

From your YStay account area

If you still have access to your account, this is the fastest route: we then know immediately which account is concerned.

  • On the web: open “Account”, then the “Delete my account” card, and click “Request deletion”.
  • In the Host Ops app: “Account” tab, then “Delete my account”.
  • In the guest app: “Profile” tab, then “Delete my account”.
  • You receive a request reference. Our team replies from your support area.

Without signing in, from this page

If you can no longer sign in, enter below the email address linked to your account. No sign-in is required.

We never confirm whether an account exists from an address entered on this page: the message shown after submission is the same in every case. If an account matches, an email is sent to that address — a message sent from the link in that email is what proves the mailbox is yours and what sets the request in motion.

Anything that helps us find your account: property name, a reservation reference, roughly when you signed up.

What happens next

Our team verifies the request, then carries out the deletion. You are told the outcome in your support area or by email, depending on the route you used.

  • What is erased: your identity and contact details, the content of your exchanges with support, your documents and media, your preferences and your device tokens.
  • What is kept: your invoices and accounting records, for ten years, under the statutory retention obligation. A minimal account shell remains so they can be attached to it.
  • Your past reservations are not deleted: they are anonymised three years after the end of the stay, on their own schedule and not on the date of your request; your identity then disappears from them, and the host's occupancy and revenue statistics are kept.
  • If you are a team member rather than the account holder, the request covers your personal access, not the team's account.
  • Legal framework: Article 12 GDPR gives us one month to answer your request, extendable by two months where it is complex; we then tell you.
